I was wanting to know if anyone has experience or knows anything about these winches? I had an offer to trade my stock Rubicon wheels and tires, 2500 miles, for one new in box. I would be mounting it using the stock Mopar steel front bumper. I haven't really seen many reviews on them so I was curious if this would be a good deal and if mounting it with the stock steel bumper would work? It is a little different layout than most winches.

I ran one on my JK for years and it worked great. Line is a little short but nothing an extension cant fix. Winch is light weight so that helps keep the front end from sagging. Only issue if I remember correctly is that the bolt pattern is a little different... I would be sure to check that it is compatible with your winch plate. On My JK I had a Poison Spyder bumper/ winch plate and we had to drill new holes. it worked but we had less than a 1/16 of an inch on either side!!
If it was me I would trade in a hearbeat
Good luck

for the price of things you will come out on top but my suspect is the guy with the winch bought it thinking that it will bolt up and it doesn't and is having a hard time selling it because it is odd ball winch.

The bolt pattern is off standard 6"x4.5" where the standard is 10"x4.5", you can drill new holes to make it work.

Also the line if 50' so it is shorter than most other by 30-50' which you could find yourself in a spot that you cannot reach a anchor point.

But that being said it is a winch built for buggy rock crawling so it packs a reliable fast powerful punch in a small package, but is intended for people that are willing to replace convince with performance for their specific needs.

Ok. I don't have a winch plate at the moment. I just have the factory steel bumpers and was going to buy I plate because I plan on keeping the front bumper for a while. So it sounds like if I order a winch plate I will have to drill new holes to fit this winch.

shoot a question over to artec their mount plate looks to support multiple layouts https://www.artecindustries.com/JL_Winch_Plate_FSB

rusty's lists the 9.0RC as fitting and looks to have 2 sets of mount holes https://www.rustysoffroad.com/rustys-winch-mount-2018-jl-wrangler-jt-gladiator.html
