Thanks Tim. My JLUR parking sensors are front and rear, but I get what you’re saying, and the wiring isn’t the issue.
Regarding that end cap. Like yours, mine has the two built in nuts at the side for the two bolts that hold it on. But mine has a third nut at the front. I could either go out and buy a smaller bolt or just drill it out. Not a big deal.
Thanks for your comments re the integrity. I don’t have the experience to comment, but good to hear.

so anyway I decided to waste even more hard earned cash by ordering the Maximus-3 tow loops. I attach the install guide. The good news here is the detail is great ! Lol
Did you ever install them?

Yours look to be towards the middle, how come they aren't more to the sides like the others are showing?

Thanks!
I got the "d-ring mounts" not the "tow loops"
These: https://maximus-3.com/jl-bumper-accessories-/jl-d-ring-loops#/
Not these: https://maximus-3.com/jl-bumper-accessories-/jl-tow-loops#/

I suppose either works, looks to be the same basic size. The tow loops attach to the outside frame rails, I bet. While the D-Ring Loops mount to the bottom of their winch plate. So if you you don't have their winch plate, you can't have the loops I have. The tow loops look like a good alternative too.

probably a stupid question, but why do you need a winch plate?

You need a winch plate to hold a winch. Although you can order the steel bumper group from Jeep, and it has a top & front plate you remove to access a winch opening, it still is not "winch ready" without a plate to support it. The plate basically ties the the two rails together and is a thick plate to bolt the winch to. https://maximus-3.com/home/jl-winch-mount-kit

How difficult was the cutting for the Maximus D-ring loops? I am looking to get the winch plate and am interested in the d-ring loops. Would you be able to share the installation instructions? I am a novice when it comes cutting steel but am handy enough (I think!) to figure it out. Thanks in advance!

I can try to find the install instructions. But I just got a cheap harbor freight air-powered cut off tool and a couple blades? (abrasive wheels). It didn't quite cut like butter, but it wasn't difficult. Sparks will fly. It was sort of fun. :) You need to cut two u-channels out. I used a step drill bit to make the bottom of the "U", all around I made it slightly larger than the instructions said. Think it would have just as quick to just use the cut-off wheel and square off the "U".

Tackled the Warn recovery point and Warn winch plate this week. There is a another thread regarding installing Warn recovery point too if your interested. Just search for it. Installing recovery point itself wasn’t bad at all. Cutting bumper just requires patience. I ended up using sawzall, jig saw and 4” angle grinder. All had their part.

Really nice job on the bumper cuts! Looks great, did you also reinstall the factory skid plate?

Thanks!! Skid plate will go on. Small notches are needed in the skid and the two back holes need elongated due to the winch plate and that’s on the agenda for this weekend. So eventually. Yes.

Thank you, would love to see some close up pictures of the cuts to the skid, when you get it installed. I am using the Rock Jock (Currie) tow plate in place of the skid, trying to figure out if these recovery points will work for me.

Updated with skid plate trimmed and installed. Turned out really nice! Had I used a little better matching paint to OEM that would be the icing on the cake!!

Thanks for the pictures, very nice job. Look like they belong there. Did that notch take out on of the skid mounting bolts or were there only 5 across the front?

You know it turned out I didn’t need to notch the bottom 2. It was tight but I got all 7 to thread fine. 5 across the bumper and the two lower screws.

There were only 5 across the bumper. So none were taken out.
