The order for my Granite JLUR was placed on 3/9/2018. I took delivery of the vehicle on 4/9/2018, EXACTLY 1 month to the day after the order was placed. Besides the standard Rubicon equipment, I had my JLUR optioned with Customer Preferred Pkg 24R...Trailer Tow & HD Electrical Group (mainly for the AUX switches); LED Lighting Group; Infotainment System; Remote Start; Auto 8-Speed Transmission & the 3-Piece Hard Top. I also purchased an extended warranty because this is the first year for the 8-Speed Automatic Transmission and I'm not sure of the overall reliability of the system.

The first pictures are of the stock vehicle and will serve as the "PRE" set of pictures prior to the build-out. The "POST" pictures will hopefully be posted within the next week to 10 days after the build is complete...which should hopefully be this coming Friday, 4/20/2018. The following items are being replaced/added to the vehicle...
  • Front Bumper -- Stealth Fighter Winch Capable Bumper (www.addictivedesertdesigns.com)
  • Rear Bumper -- Stealth Fighter Bumper (www.addictivedesertdesigns.com)
  • Tire Carrier -- Stealth Fighter Tire Carrier (www.addictivedesertdesigns.com)
  • Rails/Side Steps -- NFab Jeep Nerf Step System (for the girlfriend...:))
  • Winch -- Smittybilt X2O, 10,000# Wireless w/Waterproof Synthetic Rope
  • Lift -- 2" Mopar Lift with Fox Shocks
  • Wheels -- 17" RockStar XD827 (x5)
  • Tires -- BF Goodrich 35" x 12.50 x 17 KM2s (yes, I've decided to be different than everyone else and not use KO2s)
  • Lighting -- (1) Rigid 20" Light Bar in the Front Bumper; (2) Rigid Spots on the Front Bumper; (2) Rigid Floods on the Front Bumper; (2) Rigid Floods in the Rear Bumper
  • Powder Coating -- Color is called "WIZARD RED" from Prismatic Powders (www.prismaticpowders.com); wheels, both bumpers, rails/side steps, tire carrier, cube light housings and multiple suspension related items will be powder coated.

The next set of pictures are during the build process which has been going on this week, 4/16 thru 4/20. The red color is a powdercoat and is called "WIZARD RED" from Prismatic Powders. The build is being completed by Jeep Masters in Austin, TX.

The pictures really don't do it justice as it looks a 100x better in person. The gray items are wheel inserts and they have been painted using the same color code as the Jeep...Granite Crystal. The star in the very middle will be black. The side rails, 4 Rigid cube lights (2-spots & 2-floods) on each corner of the front bumper still need to be installed/hooked up and the spare tire mounted is all that is left to do.

The project will be complete tomorrow and I will be bringing her back home. I think she's looking pretty hot right now. Can't wait to get her all cleaned up and shiny again! :like:  The next project will be an exhaust upgrade...just not sure which one yet.

Congrats! Looking great! I’m guessing you’re happy with Jeep Masters work? I’m looking for a good local Jeep specialist.

Yep...absolutely happy with those guys. They've done a bang-up job so far. Donnie is the one that I've been dealing with there. He's helped me out with the powder-coating and finding quality products for the build too. I know they aren't exactly the cheapest items but I wanted to go with quality on this build. I pick it up tomorrow so I can't wait to see the finished product. Will be going to the AJP get-together at Joe's Crabshack in Round Rock afterwards too...I hope.

Well, my JLUR build is complete...for now. I'm very pleased with the results and cannot express enough thanks to Donnie and the rest of the guys at Jeep Masters in Austin! They did an outstanding job with this build and I would highly recommend them for any project on a Jeep if you're in the Austin or Central Texas area. They've got tons of experience and have an excellent eye for customization's.

The following pictures are my post...or after...pictures. So, on this thread we have "before", "during" and "after" pictures. If anyone has any questions concerning the build, please don't hesitate to ask. Enjoy...I know I will!!! :like:

Do the nerf rails sufficiently cover the pinch seams? Do you have any close up pictures that show that area? I can't tell in the current pictures because of the shadow near the rails.

Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures showing a lot of detail with the pinch seams however, they are covered nicely by the nerf bars and I don't even notice them.
