When driving in 4wd, I hear a vibration when letting off throttle and coasting.

nothing is felt, but rather heard. I originally was thinking it had something to do with skid plates, but the more i have thought, it doesnt make sense that its only heard when in 4wd. Its evident in hi or lo, crawling or highway speed, but only when coasting (off throttle). When driving, there is no abnormal noise.

i never have a shake, and clearance is not an issue. Nothing is rubbing.

I have rock-hard steel skid plates, Tom woods drive shafts front and rear, maximus-3 lift, 5" Synergy Springs, and 37" tires.

Any thoughts?

What’s your caster angle? Your front pinion angle might be causing the vibration. Going through the same thing on my 392. You don’t hear it in 2WD because your front driveshaft isn’t spinning then.

I had a vibration at 6.2/6.3…backed it down to around 3 degrees right now trying to get rid of it. I’d lower yours down to the 5-6 degree range.
