Tractors have been doing this for years with a switch that's depressed only if weight on the seat. The idea is if you fall off the tractor won't run you over.

EVERYONE (including me) jumpers the 2 wires, it's way too much of a hindrance; I need to stand up to see my bucket/load interface at least twice everytime I start my Kubota.

Anyway I'll be turning off AP with the Tazer. Done.

I unplugged my driver door last week. I have manual windows and locks, so surmised that all the plug did was keep me from driving with door open, and I like to have and make my own choices, regarding my own safety.

It worked as hoped for several days, but a few days ago I started getting the “vehicle not in park”, which took over my entire center display, when in 4H.

But only intermittently.

Today it was constant. I gave up and plugged it back in. No more alarm.

No more driving through a gate at 1mph with door open.

Nanny wins.

Buckle your seatbelt, it will turn off.

Oh, shut up.

You’ve told people to buckle their seatbelts what, a half-dozen times in this thread?

We get it. No one should be allowed to ever move a vehicle an inch without their seatbelt buckled, in your opinion.

Got it. Now just stick a damn sock in it.

Yeah, either that or you’re a self-righteous statist moron, who thinks everyone should do as he does.
There’s clearly no point in conversing with you. Every thread you post in you are caustic and volatile. You ceaselessly bitch about electronic systems you don’t understand. I’m sure old age must be quite difficult, I’m sorry.

Yup. Think if you fell out, you’d want Jeep to stop.

I regularly remove doors and decided to get some mirrors to install when they are off. There are scores of options.
Imagine it rolling fast enough to rest on your body as it stopped in park.

Was it Mark Twain who said something like “When you wrestle with a pig, you just get muddy, and the pig enjoys it.”?

Anyway, the last word is yours. I’m done.
