Great thread guys....unfortunately mine is under the knife for this exact issue. Leaking valve cover into o2 sensor throwing codes and misfiring. 2018 JLUR. Any updates after the repairs.

Dealer just called me and said (we can't find a leak. The engine has obviously been detailed and it looks like detail spray".

Nope. Engine has not been detailed. That's just how I keep my engine.

So frustrating.

7 month update.... No leaks on Passenger side, after 2nd dealer repair First attempt was replacing just the through valve cover gasket; didn't work. Next they replaced the whole valve cover, new gaskets come pre-installed. Leak was gone. But now, for about the last month drivers side is leaking down onto exhaust manifold... Dam. Replacing the drivers side will require the intake manifold to be removed. So much work for just a little seal(s)

Ok here is what I did to fix the leak on my 2019 Ram with the 3.6L (so far so good on leaks).

1) Removed 10 mm bolt, disconnected harness, removed sensor.
2) Pryed out old seal (I used a tiny screw driver, another tool may work better)
3) Cleaned grime out from the seating surface. (I put a towel in the sensor opening to prevent anything from going into the valve cover).
4) Inserted new seal.
5) Reinstalled everything.

It's not really going into the sensor, the sensor is sealed and the other end threads into the exhaust. They mounted the connector right under the PVC pipe and oil collects there until it saturates the connector and causes shorting across the pins. I was able to clean my connector out with contact cleaner and everything went away.

Question,

How do you remove the connector? I was trying to replace the seal, but could not remove the harness. I pulled the white tab back, but couldnt find out where to press for it to actually come out.

Thanks in advance!

My recollection is I pulled out the tab and then pushed down on it once it was out. If I get a chance tomorrow, I'll go double check that and get a picture of it if I can.

Yes thank you! The white tab has to completely go out. I was just pushing it back.

Ill keep an eye on it to see if it stops leaking.

How many miles? I personally wouldn’t really worry about it if I was out of warranty. Until it got worse..but that’s just me lol. It’s mostly seeping. Once a drip starts then I’d tear it apart.
