Anyone know if a USB-C to lightning cable would trigger CarPlay on the JL? I’m interested in the potential faster charging rates, but don’t want to lose CarPlay.

That’s what I use and it works great with CarPlay.Anyone know if a USB-C to lightning cable would trigger CarPlay on the JL? I’m interested in the potential faster charging rates, but don’t want to lose CarPlay.
Great, thank you! That’s what I use and it works great with CarPlay.
It can only plug in on the dash, that’s the only usb-c port in the JL. It’s the tiny oval above the regular USB port on the dash. Supposedly, and someone else may weigh in here, usb-c is faster charging, but I don’t know the specs on the JL USB-C output. Either way, it frees up another USB port on the dash for my wife or kids to charge their stuff.I don't know how this cable is different from the normal Apple cable. But I like fast, so I just bought one because of you guys! Does it just plug into the normal USB port in the Jeep? I want one that I can plug into the center console and still close the Tuffy safe. The normal Apple cable gets chewed up after a couple months of opening and closing the safe, so maybe the durability of this new cable is what I am looking for.
There are USB-c ports in the back of the center console one of which my daughter found out that she can control I-tunes and Pandora from the backseat. I have a JLUR if it makes any difference opinion wise. Why they wouldn’t put it in the console as well is irritating. It can only plug in on the dash, that’s the only usb-c port in the JL. Great, I didn’t know. I’ll have to check mine. I have JLUR, also. My son would love being able to charge his Nintendo Switch back there. There are USB-c ports in the back of the center console one of which my daughter found out that she can control I-tunes and Pandora from the backseat.
