My Android Auto stopped working in my 2021 Wrangler yesterday and I'm trying to figure out what I need to do to fix it. Should I take it to the dealer?
It worked a few weeks ago, but I don't usually use it. Yesterday was taking a road trip and wanted to use Google Maps. Plugged in the phone and nothing happened.
I tried 3 different USB cables (2 USB A to USB C and one USB C to USB C). I tried all 3 USB ports in the front of the jeep.
Tried a second phone that previously worked in the Jeep, but didn't work.
Tried my phone in another car with Android Auto and it worked fine.
So seems the issue is with the jeep or Uconnect. I checked the UConnect site and looks like there are no updates to UConnect for my VIN.
I can start android auto settings on my phone and try the option "connect to car", plug in the USB (tried from both ends), but there is no recognition that it's connected to an auto. Sometimes I get the popup (on the phone) asking what I want to do with the USB connection (transfer files etc).
So anyway, looking for advice, is there anything else I can try or should I just call the dealer?
Thank you!
