US Speedo faceplate

I finally painted my ‘red’ dash in my Rubicon. Had them painted white to match the body color. For the longest time I wanted to have them painted red but changed my mind at the last minute and went with white. Glad I did but at the same time I ordered a new faceplate for the speedo cluster from US Speedo. I thought the red color would offset the white dash nicely and still think my idea would have worked out had the speedo faceplate resembled the picture on their website. Unfortunately it was a much darker red that what was pictured online.

I love the white dash but the red speedo faceplate hardly looks different front the stock one.
I must say, the quality of the speedo faceplate was very good and shipping was quick. I even talked with someone who was kind enough to make sure I didn’t order something that was incompatible with my
Trim level. (Their website says it only supports Sport S model but they do indeed have a product that matches the Rubicon trim.

My only complaint is the unit sits
So far back on the gauges that no light hits it and it doesn’t get illuminated so it appears too dark. I emailed US Speedo to see if I could trade out my red units for a white model which I think would be much better but they havent answered yet. Which Is odd (funny, maybe not odd) because when I sent an email that I was ready to buy but had a fitament question they called my cell in 3mins.

I had my speedo changed on my F 250 yrs ago and even had 4 wheels put It in for me and still had problems with it sticking and not working right. after about 3 times going back to them they said they would offer to put the stock one back in for me because they always have had problems with them. and would no longer keep trying to fix it for me. Have you ever had any problems with it sticking on you ? and would recommend going with it now or does it not look much different like you said ?

where did you get the the red knobs for the radio and lights ? or did you paint them and if so I didn't think they come off

I would love to have the white one my white truck had one that I put in and it was really nice. It lit up blue at night but it kept sticking so 4 wheel parts after about three times said they would take it out and put the stock went back in because they couldn't keep taking it out and trying to fix it. if you don't get somebody put it in and that knows what they're doing the needle will stick time to time
