I haven’t seen a way to make the European bumper match up with the US Rubicon fenders. They are a different profile and actually quiet a bit wider. The other problem is how low the rear bumper/number plate holder is. If you need a tow bar it gets worse.......
Great work, thanks to these publications that gives us a lot of information, since here in Europe we lack data to make changes with EU specifications to our JL.
Any information is always welcome.
Thanks Nick for your photos and information.

Guys, I owe you all an apology! The non park sensor rear rubicon bumper is a two piece design. It is not welded together! It is similar to the park sensor version. I got chance to see the outer rear shell in its box today......
I think you may be correct in saying ordering the complete no park sensor bumper and then the out skin separately is the way to go. It would be interesting to see.

Sorry!
Nick

Yes, it seems like this. If I will succeed to order and receive all this stuff from the US - I will definitely post everything here.

Guys, i think you dont have to change your rear bumper in order to fit the higher rear fenders. I ve read somewhere in this forum that you can just replace the infill (rear side plastic cap between rear bumper and rear high fender) and fit it to the rear plastic bumper (like the one we have in Europe). I ordered these rear corner plastic parts ( part no. 68295580AB) together with their brackets (part no. 68335607AB) from quadratec and hopefully they will fit. Still waiting for the car to arrive in CYPRUS but i am preparing...:).
P.S if you notice the 2 photos, Rubicon part is not only shorter but it is also wider. I got High Fenders and already paint them in body color. They are about an inch wider than stock EU Rubicon fenders.

Giorgo, thank you for a very useful information! I still have my doubts about the rear bumper. On one hand leaving plastic stock one is cheaper and easier and now you offered a solution how to connect it nicely with high line fender flares . On the other- I don’t know if it will look nice if the front bumper will be steel and the rear plastic...

Taram, last week i saw a new 2020 rubicon in CY and it came with front parking sensors. I also managed to get my build sheet and mine will also have the fron sensors. Therefore if you are changing the front bumper pls have this in mind...you have to drill 6 holes:)

Yes, I know that, it's even worse - you have to drill 4 holes and 2 more sensors need to be aligned somewhere in the bumper openings. Guys from Jeepey.com have done this to a steel front bumper of @PatrickM and they say it was a challenge. But I want to try :)
What they tell you about the delivery time? Is there a chance we get our Jeeps before the New Year? You will also have MY 2020?

yes 2020, i got a VIN no last wk of sept and they told me to expect to get it towards end of Nov. Nxt week they expect 6 saharas and 1 black rubicon. It seems that they import 5-6 cars per month. We see...

Hmmm, lucky you, I still don't have my VIN. Actually I'm quite sure you will get your car this year, and I still have a chance to move into year 2020 indeed :CWL:

Hello guys ... all EU Wrangler JL / JLU have front park assist, the Chinese steel copies have the holes for the sensors, they provide special adapters. You have to ask for Europe and with holes.I have just mounted on my JEEP one of those, I put pictures ... it is necessary to disassemble the original bumper and take fog lights, sensors and wiring harnesses .

Well after 8 months it finally arrived! My very first mod was to change the tyres and fender flares.
1) Replaced stock tyres (BFG Mud 255/75R17) with 285/70R17 Toyo AT. May be not better appearance but definitely a better ride
2) 4 x Spidertrax wheel spaces. IMO this was inevitable to "fill" the larger/wider US flares vs shorter axles (kept stock wheels)
3) Painted Rubicon US fender flares & rear end bumper caps. Took me about 4 hours, not that difficult but i was a bit nervous not to brake anything :). The most difficult part was to align correct the inner fenders. Reg the rear end caps correct part no. is 68319213AB in order to match the rear high fenders. You will also need the inner bracket 68335625AB although it is possible to fit it without it.
Here are some photos of the result:

Looks great! like from factory!

Where did you buy the fender flares from? Did you end up painting it yourself or came like that?

I am looking to do the same for my AU spec Rubicon
