A good "dent guy" can get that out and you will NEVER know it ever existed. A coworker opened his door and the wind caught it and it slammed into another coworker's car door. It was a creased door ding and the guy that came out removed it and you can't tell it was ever there.
You mentioned the dealer mentioned it in the paperwork. They could have been a little more forthcoming, but they initiated the high road approach anyway. Give them a chance before you bail completely on them.

I say go with a painless dent removal specialist, you would be surprised at how much these work at dealerships, from low to high end manufactures.
Other option would be to by a "Take off hood" there are a lot out there for JK`s, not sure about the JL`S But the Hydro Blue one I purchased was a perfect match. I bought my hood at Rubitrux

Just ask @cosine he knows!
As long as they own up to it and try to make it right for you. Many dealers would deny that it happened there.
Yep^^^ You should be able to get this taken care of pretty easily since they fessed up. If you had to fight them to even admit any fault that would be a much tougher scenario.

Agree with the above comments re: using a dent wizard. Had a 2016 Mustang GT - white - with a slight "palm" dent along side the feature line of the hood. Could not see it at delivery inspection. The guy who fixed it doing the paint correction and ceramic saw it and the dent wizard made it disappear. If you also have scuffs it is likely only in the clear and that is very fixable - by a competent tech.

I don't see anything there that PDR shouldn't be able to easily fix 100%. I would absolutely prefer that option over a replacement or repainted hood as everything would stay original.

If you're set on getting a new hood, I would at least ask for a Rubicon hood as an upgrade to offset the downsides of having bodywork on a new vehicle.
Yeah thats a super easy PDR fix! only cost a few hundred to fix. maybe even less. Much better than dealing with a replacement and having to worry about the quality of the paint job done by a third party.

I think a good paint less repair like Dent Dr. could get that out. They do amazing things.

just like everyone said, it is a easy fix and they did fix it in a day and cannot see any dent at all.
it is just the frustration and back and forth, now my jeep is 150km just for those crap, i didnt get new car experience as expected but no big deal.
i picked up my key and simply leave the dealer and fking run. dont want to leave a review or claim uber cost, etc, just want to forget. i guess thats how i will review.

I used to pout when I was 4 years old too. Dealing with today's challenges may be too much for some but the average owner gets things addressed and moves on. By the way, the genius telling you to Lemon Law this situation probably shouldn't be giving free advice to anyone. Geez, grow up.

if this happened to me id jsut hand them the keys and tell them to fix it. Don't demand anything other that it being fixed. its going to more than likely just be replaced with a matching hood off the lot. besides its a jeep. It is going to get some bumps and bruises no reason to lose sleep. my rear window defroster connection is dangling from the wire due to solder failure. speaking of which better call them and see what they would like to do with it

My only question, why wasn't it noted and repaired before delivery? That would be a 20 - 30min repair in the hands of an experienced PDR (paintless dent repair) tech.
