Upgrading from the 5" UConnect3 to 7" UConnect4?

I understand we need Part 68297546AE but all I am finding is Part 68297546AF... am I missing something?

68297546AE has been discontinued and 68297546AF is the newer version. The numbers are sequential so the first version would have been 68297546 followed by 68297546AB, 68297546AC, 68297546AD, 68297546AE, and the newest version is 68297546AF.

If I had to guess, I would think it ships with the new unconnect software already loaded. Its hard to tell what changed on the radio.

Know the 7” was an option for the Sport S so can understand its ability. However it wasn’t an option for the Sport Base so wondering if it’s still doable?

I upgraded to the 7" on my wife's sport base model. The only down side is you cant install the volume knob, so the volume is through the steering wheel.

I installed, you just lose the volume control knob. Which is great for those that have passengers that try to touch your radio's volume.

I currently have the 5" and based on this am going to upgrade to a 7" and have a quick question. If I go with the non sat 7" radio, will I loose any other options other than Sat radio? I am assuming not, but wanted to verify before ordering.

i don't think the design matches well for the JL. Looks out of place. I would have rather seen something that fits within the 8.4" Bezel and looked factory.
