Just ask @cosine he knows!
where would i look to find this? and what is it called/make?
If you want Sirius/XM make sure you get a radio w/ it built in, and you will need the Satellite antenna for that as well. Just ask the seller if it's built in, and if they don't include the antenna it's about $100 IIRC w/ the long cord.

Quick question, I recently upgraded from the 5" uconnect to the 7". I purchased the new used 7" from an ebay seller. Everything works great but I don't see the climate control icon in the app menu yet. I still have the stock climate control center stack but I have purchased the upgrade digital kit that includes the sensors and the obd genie programmer from infotainment.

Will the climate icon appear in the app menu once the new upgrade is installed and the obd genie programmer has done its programming?

Yes it should after a reboot.

It may take up to 24 hours for the icon to appear. The vehicle needs time to learn the new features you've added with the programmer. This is perfectly normal. Be patient and give it time. Best bet is to let the vehicle sit overnight.

Thank you for the info. I figured (hoped) that was the case. I've very much appreciated this entire thread.

No it’s won’t until you use a tazer or JScan (what I use) to turn on the climate control. And also you’ll need the sensors to get it all running correctly along with the new center stack with the correct HVAC controls.

without adding that stuff you will have a bigger radio that you can now use CarPlay, better sound and you can use your factory HVAC controls. You, as you already know won’t have a volume knob!

Didn't see anything on a search, but did anyone experience the volume not working after going from the 5 to 7? The volume on the radio screen shows it changing as I use the steering wheel control, but the volume of the playback just stays at the same level. This was just after install. Could this take some time to sync?

NVM, started working. Forgive my impatience. lol

You will need to add the gps/satellite antenna and cable if it doesn’t show up after 24hours.

Might need to have Sirius/XM send a new signal to get initiated w/ your new head unit.
