Taking advice from others in this forum, here’s my upgraded ride:

  • Rough Country 2.5” spacer lift
  • 17” black satin wheels
  • 315/70R17 BFG KO2s
  • Spray painted black grill inserts
  • Plasti dipped badges and fog light bezels

Is it abnormal to be in love with a vehicle? ‘Cuz I’m in love!

That's it, I'm plasti-dipping my Jeep badges.

Wow, what a difference painting the badges black makes on a red Jeep, very sharp. How did you take them off and reapply them?
I just plasti dipped them. I watched a couple YouTube videos and that was it. It’s super easy to do — and trust me, if I can do it, anyone can do it!

Let me clarify... did you remove them from the Jeep and plasti dip them or do it on the Jeep? If you removed them and then put them back on, how did you do that? :)

Nah, just left them on. I taped off a section and then just peeled it away. Nice thing about plasti dip is even if you make a mistake, you can just peel it off and start over. And it’s only like $5 a can at Walmart.

Did you plastidip the key surrounds too? Any issues getting key in/out?

Yep, plasti-dipped those. And nope, no issues. Plasti dip is just so easy to use and so easy to remove/peel off if you need to -- much safer for a newb like me than if I was using spray paint!
