Update on RCV Axle deliveries…

Anyone who is patiently waiting to dive into their spring Jeep mod project, can all wait some more. As of today, RCV Performance Products advised me the following of my axle order : …“Unfortunately, there has been a major delay in the production of our axle sets. With the delay and the processes still needed the new E.T.A. is 8-10 weeks from today.”
I’m already 7 weeks in.

Do they have a lot? I tried to google RCV failures and breakage. I didnt find much.

I saw a video of a rebuild -- they are built like tanks. My guess on the failures is they are not being maintained properly.

I saw one video, but the YT'r didnt say how he grenaded both sides. LOL

Something to keep in mind with backorders on these: if you order through one of RCV’s retailers rather than from them directly the wait might be shorter. The reason is because RCV is going to fill Northridge’s and Quadratec’s orders for 70 sets of axles each before they sell you a single unit. Stocking retailers ordered months ago and buy in volume so they’re at the front of the line. So they may get their stock in weeks, meanwhile you’re still waiting months for your order of one set.

At least this is what I was told. Maybe it’s true, maybe not.

I've got to agree with you on this. When I finally got a call back from Reid Racing to order a set of their knuckles, I was already sitting on a pair that was ordered from Northridge just a week prior.

After all, if you had to pass off one or the other, who would it be. The guy who ordered 1 set or the guy who already ordered 50 and has another 50 to add.

It’s only been a few weeks since I ordered my set. But I’ll call the shop tomorrow and see if he has an update. He owns a rock bouncer race series and RCV is a big sponsor. You’d think they’d get his orders out quick too lol. But I doubt it.
