Lol I know Daniel personally, he’s too busy wheeling to worry about posting paper work he’s my buddy so I thought I’d spend a minute responding, yeah his engine failed like he said it did, dealer fixed it and he’s out wheeling again, he’s got a sick build.

Since you know the OP personally, can you stop him on the trail and have him clear up many of the questions he left hanging?? That could bring some closure to this fiasco of a thread.

Possibly...but based on how we're being given the info in literal bites is starting to make this like an evolving murder mystery: "Who really killed the Jeep?!"

The thing that still baffles me is that the first engine was signed off as a warranty replacement by corporate, then the dealer reinstalled the catch can on the new motor, now corporate is saying the warranty is null and void because of the catch can the dealer installed. I'd be talking with an attorney at this point to get this straightened out real f'n quick.
Your conflating an issue. The dealer reinstalled what the owner had, they didn’t ‘add’ it to the motor - hence the warranty claim is denied. There isn’t a warranty with the dealer, it’s with Jeep. Be no different than if you had a brake kit, a dealer installed it for you, then the kit failed. You have no claim through the dealer. Same as if you had an exhaust installed with no muffler then got sited by the Police for it - you don’t have a claim with the installer, it was your choice as the owner.

Wow, how old was my quote in this thread? I seriously forgot about this whole thing. I’m not the knuckle head that had a catch can installed on his motor twice that coincidentally had two separate engine related failures happen and tried to blame the dealer for everything.

No comments in a month until it was resurrected because of a comment in another thread.
Sounds like it was dead.

But you did think the dealer should be responsible….

I’m now convinced that from this point forward, any thread that has the word update or “update” or (update) in the title , we probably should run away…
