Update: 2018-2019 JL Wrangler Timeline Schedule (2DR JL & 2.0L Delay, Powertop & Diesel Dates, Etc)

I've been playing with the jeep.com configure tool today. The Diesel engine just popped up while working up options for a Sport S. $1000 price tag.

2.0...4L engine...not diesel.

$1000 + auto...$3000 total (won't let you keep a manual on it, apparently)

Ahhh, I stand corrected. The 4 Cyl turbo was listed this afternoon and is now gone.

So it looks like the 2018 3.6 ESS automatic will be a one year motor only, 2019 will have ESS and BSG in the 3.6 auto.

"IF" Heavily Discounted JKs are offered at production end, then you can reasonably expect Trade In values of JKs, especially 2doors, to drop accordingly.
The Equity (value retained) has been stellar, up to this point. If FCA offers " Loyalty" discounts to JK trade-ins, that would help .
Climbing the Hill to being able to afford a JL is getting Steeper...

The value of the 4door will drop, but there are still enough of us out there that want a 2 door... and because of that they are willing to take a GOOD 2 door at a lower price than a GREAT JL at 37k (cause that is what i'm paying for my JL 2-door.
