It sucks but at least most of us already suspected no manual diesel. Is the red one in the pic a Sport JL?That one isn't a diesel but they are being built now, heard one drive by and parked. US urea injection fill tube, mph Speedo and left hand drive. It's no rumor, only thing that sucks is no 6 speed manual option for the Eco-diesel only 4 cyl gas and 3.6
JK hood is on top. What's believe to be an early JL hood is on bottom. Not getting it. Which is which? And how do you define the forward tapering?
Yeah, dealer order info already confirmed engine/trans combos that will be available. Diesel only gets the 8sp auto. 3.6L is the only one that can be had with the new 6sp manual. It sucks but at least most of us already suspected no manual diesel. Is the red one in the pic a Sport JL?
I have an insider willing to tell me so much lol. It's nice to have friends with pictures lol. I wont go into deep details to keep their job secure lolFolks, we have an insider here!
Milious Deaux?
Has your friend told you had the Trail Mangement option is? Also are the fender vents the same across the entire line? or do the Rubicons get bigger vents (this is something I was thinking since this pic shows a small vent but the leaked B&W image showed a larger one)I have an insider willing to tell me so much lol. I'll try to demonstrate. Not getting it. Which is which? And how do you define the forward tapering?
As happy as I am about the hood being flatter, I am surprised. I am not an engineer, but wouldn't the flatter hood be less aerodynamic and have a negative impact on MPG's, when everything else they seem to be doing is trying to make it more aerodynamic? And secondly, with all the emphasis on safety, this will reduce visibility in front of the vehicle instead of making it better.I'll try to demonstrate.
The popular accepted reason for the JL's longer hood has been that it's necessary to accommodate the longer/larger 8 speed transmission.Could it be simply based on need, that they need the space to fit everything in the engine compartment, which is why there is also a longer hood?
Yep sounds right!Oh one more thing... The grille looks different than the JK's. The slots are more squared and at about the center of the headlight point they are angled in towards the hood.
Looks like what I saw. Is there anything out there about where the parking lights moved to? I saw lights on the front of the fenders.Yep sounds right!
The JL grille was leaked here earlier this year -- http://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/leaked-2018-jeep-wrangler-grille.652/
Yea there's LED lights on the front of the fenders now.Looks like what I saw. Is there anything out there about where the parking lights moved to? I saw lights on the front of the fenders.
Huh?Being built already?
But what Billy said too :cwl:
So.... 2018 model year seems very possible??
