Unofficial Use Only creates YJ styled grille and bumper

I quite like it. $850-900CAD (depending on the day) does feel steep but this isn’t a cheap hobby (For the sake of my marriage I probably shouldn’t add up all the receipts for my 2 door, lol).

Maybe if I do sell my Trailhawk to buy another JL and build it into a retro Islander trim. Not sure I would want that bumper though.

I like the bumper. But the grill is a big no for me. It's better than an angry grill, but not by much. The YJ was a very angular shape, but this is just the rounded lines of the JL with some 5x7 lights that don't quite match the rest of the esthetics. Since the JL grill pays homage to the CJ5 and 7 series Jeeps, I would prefer a vintage grill that sets the headlights out further and incorporates round turn signals below the headlights.

If you do build an Islander tribute and want the correct aesthetic, the UUO beam bumper would be compulsory.

(I actually kinda like the square headlights in the round openings, but I'm also a weirdo that appreciates utilitarian function-over-form projects)

And yeah, my DIY would take years and wouldn't look like either yours or the Unofficial Use Only version and everyone would wonder why I made my JL look like a '86 Toyota Tercel
