Interesting idea.

Hang in there, some of us lock these things up when going doorless just like you do. I also do it when valeting the vehicle.

I also lock the doors when they are on, lock the doors on my house, put passwords on my accounts, a password on my phone, etc.

I’m with you, if a person wants to get in they will. Locking is still a deterrent to some.
