I had my transfer case replaced under warranty with 9K on the odometer two days ago because it was leaking. I looked under the Jeep this morning for any new leaks and found none. But, I did find these two flange nuts loose and one was about to fall off. What purpose do they have, securing the skids together? See picture attached, thank you.

Yes, the only purpose of these 2 nuts is to hold the FWD tank skid and the main tank skid together. There should be a 3rd nut on the INBD side, as well.
