I feel like I’m one of the few people foolish enough to buy my JLU with the Uconnect 3/5” display. At the time, it seemed to be the more rugged, utilitarian choice, but I’ve found it to be buggy, slow, and extremely limited in functionality. There seems to be little information from FCA on the unit and no updates to address any of the issues. It’s a shame that a $42k vehicle ships with a unit that would be unacceptable in an entry level subcompact.
Has anyone had any luck upgrading the unit to a Uconnect 4 model? I’d prefer to do it through a service center, but my reading seems to indicate that even the dealers want nothing to do with the unit. Honestly, the Uconnect 3 shouldn’t even be an option in a new jeep.
