Uconnect keeps crashing and rebooting

Anyone having this issue? Minimum couple times a day my uconnect freezes, then reboots itself. No rhyme or reason to it. Sometime I have car play going, other times I don't. sometime I get a blue screen.
I searched here and read about a constant reboot every three minutes or so - I had that happen to me once and may have been a system upgrade/push to the vehicle? Well that happened about a month ago, but I'm still experiencing the fairly consistent freeze/reboots on an almost daily basis.
Driving me nuts. Haven't had time to book it in to dealership - I had it in for same issue second month of ownership, about a year ago, they said they updated the system.

Make sure your iPhone is unlocked before you start the rig. Plugging it in to the USB when locked or starting the rig and it connects to Bluetooth causes the same freezes.

Make sure your iPhone is unlocked before you start the rig. Plugging it in to the USB when locked or starting the rig and it connects to Bluetooth causes the same freezes.

I have this problem too not every day but enough.. I never use car play nor is my iphone plugged in. not sure what the pattern is.

Just had it shut off for the first time ever. No iPhone plugged in. Just running the nav system. Halfway through my drive the screen froze, then shut off. I tried restarting the car and even then it took about a minute of black screen before it started up. The truck is less than a week old wonder what it was? The nav kept running on the dash screen, and the music kept playing, just no uconnect screen (8.4)

Sorry to hear this - yep no rhyme or reason to it. I find the most frustrating part is if the volume is loud when it's in the frozen/reboot stage one cannot adjust the volume.
I've been doing the unlocked phone thing for past couple days and it has been better.

My system just started (today) in an endless boot/reboot cycle and never comes up. Nothing plugged in (phone etc.). Fuses are fine. I've had a couple hiccups with the system but it's always come up. This is a 2018 Wrangler Unlimited I bought new with about 4k miles. Have contacted JeepCares but not dealer yet. Frustrating.

Many reported in other threads that they found loose fuses and relays. After pushing them all the way in, problems never came back. There is also a TSB or Star case posted somewhere that said bad ground connections were causing miscellaneous electrical issues.

In regard to UConnect going on and off and acting like it is crashing,and such ............> DO check Fuse #97 in the PDC. If, fuse #97 is iffy (replace with new to be sure) or loose/not pushed down firmly, UConnect will go on and off intermittently .

By the way... For those that say have a glitch with UConnect, like your Off Road Pages going missing, etc., DO while the JL is running, pull F97 and in about 10 seconds, replace the fuse. This will make UConnect reboot. Your other option is to not pull fuse and after 4 or 5 restarts, usually UConnect will correct an issue lets say.

Thanks, I'll check that one specifically.

It only happens when my phone is plugged in and android auto is running.
If I leave my phone disconnected it has no issues.
Thats why I'm leaning towards a software issue.
