The other thing you need is the LTE antenna in your jeep to be able to enable the wifi hotspot and get a signal.
Do you know where the LTE antenna is located?

Has anyone enabled the WiFi Hotspot feature on their JL’s? I am taking a day trip and wanted to try it out. I enabled it planning on paying for a day. Well there is no option to pay for it at ATT’s website and it works . Just says feature coming soon.
I just bought 2019 JLU Sahara and activated my Trial period for my ATT Hotspot. It was easy and its works great. just have to turn it on within your Radio. I have the 8.4 Uconnect system.

My jeep won’t provide any data through the WiFi connection and the link will not allow me to set up an account.

Will ATT be able to get me going?
I called the AT&T number listed and they walked me thru it with ease.

I'm wondering, since I already have ATT service, if it will just piggyback on that...most likely, no such luck, but it would be nice...
It will piggy back on ATT if you ask them

I just set up my JLUR WiFi hotspot. Went with the Unlimited plan for $250/ year, so I cancelled my Verizon tablet 4G that I pay $10 / mo. for and switch my Verizon calling plan to Unlimited and saved another $10/ mo. Turns out I was on an older plan with 14 GB per month and was paying more! I'm telling myself that the AT&T Uconnect WiFi is really only costing me $5 per month:)
