They want you to pay $19.95 per month to keep the Guardian services after your free trial. The app doesn't work 25% of the time and when it does it takes forever for the Wrangler to respond when you use it to remote start or lock/unlock the doors. You'd think they would want to fix the issues ASAP so more people would keep the Guardian services.
My app doesnā€™t work 100% of the time and hasnā€™t since last October! After many phone calls I have given up on it.

Hi Greg,

I am sorry to hear you're having a hard time with the Sirius XM Guardian application. The app itself has a different Customer Care Team so if you're experiencing concerns while navigating through it, please connect with them at 1-844-796-4827 for further assistance.

As others have said; "It's not the App!". I have had the same problem since getting my Jeep in January, regardless of whether I use the iPhone app or the Mopar/Sirius Guardian website. It works if I have just shut down or cycled the ignition on and off, but as soon as the vehicle is left for a few hours it stops working. It's as if it goes to sleep which is the same problem discussed on the RAM, Pacifica and Jeep Cherokee forums. It is useless to me if I want to start my Jeep at the end of a workday or anywhere else, or want to lock/unlock, regardless of whether it's parked outside or inside. Been there done that with the phone support as well which manages to make it work at the time but stops again shortly afterwards.

Then there's the issue of having to pay for the remote start and auto lock/unlock features when other manufacturers offer them free?? Buddy of mine has an F150 and his works flawlessly and responds almost immediately AND it's free.

I will not be paying for this when the trial is over.

The worst thing about the app/service is the false sense of security it gives you that you'll be able to use it to find your Jeep. About 50% of the time I've parked it in NYC, when launching the app, it couldn't locate the Jeep while it was parked on the street. Had to walk around for blocks looking for it because I didn't pay close enough attention to where I left it as I would've with any of my other cars.

Hi AnebuR,
We understand why this may be frustrating. We recommend contacting SiriusXM Customer Service to have this documented and looked into further. You may call them at 1-844-796-4827 . If you continue to experience concerns with your app, please send us a private message.

I sincerely doubt that they'll be able to do anything. The likely issue is that the Jeep's cellular antenna isn't strong enough and the signal gets blocked by some building.

Again, it's not the app. This also happens when trying directly from the website. I'm pretty sure the app and website are working the way they are supposed to but are unable to make contact with the vehicle. It's seems to be directly related to the vehicle because mine works fine after an ignition cycle but as soon as the Jeep has been shut down for more than an hour or so it stops working. As others have said, it's as if it goes to sleep. Cycle the ignition and it works again. Whatever system in the vehicle is supposed to passively listen for the signal is not staying active for very long after the vehicle is shut down.

I'll probably speak to my dealer next time I'm there and see what insight they might have into the problem.

My Uconnect now works after I did the download upgrade from Uconnect website to my 8.4 radio. This update just became available to download around the middle of May . I also got the off-road pages when I downloaded the upgrade.

I've had few problems with Uconnect. Most times I have to open my phone for Uconnect to "see" it when I'm plugged in to the Jeep and CarPlay has just failed twice while driving. I have noticed that when this happens the Nav system fails at the same time. Now here's the odd thing. When I go to the Uconnect update page it doesn't recognize my VIN. I'm an engineer (retired) who worked on systems such as this in aircraft. We saw the same problems in testing all of which were software and firmware related. We just weren't stupid enough to ship until they were fixed. But they were safety not entertainment/convenience related and we charged about $100M more than for a Jeep. Unfortunately while safety systems are tested over and over entertainment/convenience/appearance items are often given a WGAF (Who Gives A @#$%) rating and open to field testing. I've seen these decisions made often; additional testing will cost $1.4M. We can roll that back into R&D and field service issues as they arise. Sad but true.

Apparently I walked to work today because it says my Jeep is still at my house. I've tried to immediately start it after driving and it doesn't work. It worked for a couple of days after I purchased the Jeep but it has become completely useless at this point. I don't see the point in going through all of the hair pulling frustration to get it fixed just to have to pay for it later and continue going through the process. This was a terrible swing and miss.
