Experiencing all of this in my '19 I just picked up a month ago.

Is it even worth taking to the dealer to try and get resolved? I can deal with the volume bullshit and slow responsiveness but what I can't accept is the constant crashing of the entire thing when trying to plug my iphone in to a USB port. I'd love to upgrade but after blowing all my damn money just buying the thing I wouldn't think I'd need to spend another $500 just to make standard options functional.

no i wouldn't even bother, i went to two dealers and my 2020 Gladiator has the same issues you all have with the JL base radio. Jeep cares won't do anything and the dealers just replaced the radio with another defective unit, which they all are. Went back they say no codes no errors, won't fix it or even try. This is my third jeep and it may be my last for a long time. which as a die hard jeep fan is really a sad thing to think about. It's like FCA just keeps selling defective units knowingly and figures if they have to settle a class action lawsuit later on they are willing to take the risk.

Well crap. This thread is disheartening. Yesterday, my radio unit would not power up at all...after about 10 minutes it came on, BT connected, as I was on a call...worked flawlessly the rest of the day...Today, same thing...after 10 minutes, power up and functioned normally...stopped at the dealer, which is backlogged by a few weeks, to ask about an appointment...caught a tech outside, who said he would do hard reset immediately...since I was standing there....he came back and said the amplifier is showing 2 open circuits to the front dash speakers...which are working fine. He stated it may just be the amplifier going out....14k on the odometer...have had the PCM replaced and both batteries already this year....grrrr

I installed inline high pass filters over a year ago to keep them from bashing against the covers or blowing....head unit has always had that few second lag...to me, an open means they shouldn't work. He stated it may just be the amplifier going out....14k on the odometer...have had the PCM replaced and both batteries already this year....grrrr
You're not kidding. The more I look at these forums the more I dread even getting to 20k miles. My heart says work through the issues and keep the gladiator but my brain screams trade it in for another brand....ugh.

I plan on making an appointment when I get a break in my work schedule (travel a lot). Already thinking ahead to hardwiring in a nice bluetooth speaker in the event they can't or won't fix it. My phone becomes the in dash unit...no back up camera, unless I install one aftermarket...which I've done to the wife's truck....I still love the jeep because of the top off driving...but yeah, the bad news threads make me question the purchase....the F150 I passed up looks a little better with each iteration.

I pulled the fuses to the radio and the amplifier and then re installed after 30 minutes. ...same issue...when the temperature drops close to freezing over night....it just boots up slow....I don't have much hope for a fix, but I have an appointment January 12th.

When it gets closer to your appointment date please reach out. I would be happy to get a case open for you and over to a Uconnect specialist.

Thank you...it seems to be escalating now. Today, each time I started, it would take about a minute before coming on...it used to just do it on the initial start for the day. It's just annoying, in a first world problem kind of way.
