Hi All
I have a 2022 JLURD. U connect has been working flawlessly & I have Galaxy S22 Ultra along with the Motorola MA1 Wireless Android Auto function
Absolutely love it
This message popped up today for 1st time ever. Interesting

Your Jeep appears to be hallucinating... that can't be good.

I have heard that there is an update for UConnect that lets it give you an alert if emergency vehicles are in the vicinity. I wonder if this is related to that?

Almost looks like a Waze type alert, but frickin' huge. Glad they give a shit to let you know a tow truck is there. But the whole screen and then asking if it's there or not.

Hi, My best guess I think Google Maps & Waze populated the update automatically.
However, it looks like it's a U Connect feature
I can't really tell & I didn't see any significant Tow Truck in my area while driving
Was hoping someone else experienced
It's a cool saftey feature. Just curious

Funny thing is, I never received anything regarding an update to the Uconnect
It's possible it updated in background without my knowledge
But no message ever appeared or I accepted
Appreciate the fast reply

Since 2018, there have been a handful of forum member's that mentioned a UConnect update proceeded without interaction on their part and without there realizing the update happened.

My last UConnect update, on 1/18/23, I had the UConnect update screen pop up very very briefly and without me clicking on the screen the update started/proceeded.

I saw it started to update so I stayed in a locale where I new cell coverage, etc. was decent until the update completed.

Took about 35 mins. and while updating there was a black radio screen with a % completed bar on the move til installed.

By the way.. your Avatar.... You look liked you are parked beachside in Daytona Beach, right in front of a bldg. with a condo I owned in it... 700 area S. Atlantic Ave.....

1) it's possible the firmware updated on it's own. Not sure the latest edition. But was able to capture my current software settings. See image attached

2) i never ever received any pop up. However, my JLURD was built Jan 2022/Delivered Feb 2022, might have already been updated? Or the firmware never has to permission anymore?
Regardless. Have not seen anything unusual pop up on the screen until today
Which btw, i think is a very cool feature. I'm all about safety & how difficult it is to be a trucker or trailer on road today

3) smart. Some folks don't understand that stopping an update in progress
is just as bad as installing a poor update

4) never happened yet on my end. However, working for Pioneer Electronics 12v division for 10 yrs many moons ago, im definitely familiar with firmware updates etc. Your's worked as expected

5) my avatar. I live 5 blks from there and have been living here for 17 years and love it, that's so incredibly weird in an awesome sort of way

Same thing happened to me 2 weeks ago.
Sure enough there was a tow truck up ahead with its lights flashing.
Said to myself “Well what do you know”

Disabling Travel Alerts with either a Tazer JL or with JSCAN should stop the alert.

I have driven say 6,000 interstate miles since the 1st of the year and I have not seen the alert... I have Travel Alerts disabled. So, I assume / think I have not seen the alert since Travel Alerts on my JL are disabled.

With JSCAN:

Disable Travel Link:

ADAPTATION ---> Radio user settings --> SDAR Travel Link Feature Present On/Off--> Target Value = Deactivated

With a Tazer JL .... In radio sub menu, chose disable "TravelLnk” >enable/disable SiriusXM TravelLink

That answers the question, but it's kind of a bummer. I was hoping just to disable this one feature but leave the rest intact.
