After all this time do you still recommend it? About to take the plunge on 37’s.
Ya, no issues....I’m kicking around going to 37’s also

So if you jump to 37’s are you think you’ll need a relocation bracket to lift the tire up higher, or do you think the Tiger alone raises it sufficiently. I went ahead and ordered the Tyger and have a relocation bracket as well, wondering if I’ll need both.

I didn't need a relocation bracket, I'm running 37" Milestar Pats. Carrier has been great for me so far too, definitely recommend.

Well I just installed mine today. First you will see the OP had to paint the hinge area, as the provided plates did not cover the old hinge area. That has been addressed, the new one‘s have hinge plate covers that fully cover the old area. I couldn’t be happier with this thing. It is awesome quality, form, fit and function. This thing is a steal. Don‘t think...buy it before they realize they could get $500 for it.

Looks
So some know I decided to take a chance and try this heavy duty tire carrier. There aren’t any reviews on it and a couldn’t find anyone who had it, but for $289 which is half the price if not more of the others I figured I’d give it a go.
I don’t do any rock crawling, but probably some trails and I’m only running 35’s so I figured I wouldn’t need something seriously beefy. And this is the first time I’ve ever installed one of these so I have nothing to base it on.

The install is straight forward and the instructions are mostly pretty good. A little vague as far as the shims were concerned but all and all pretty simple.

The only issues I had were because I have the Diabolical Slipstream I couldn’t remove the rear plastic without taking the top off and then taking apart the slipstream. I was able to get enough room to access the hinge bolts......even tho I did end up putting a small crack in the plastic.

The other issue I had was that when I removed the oem hinges the tailgate isn’t painted under them and the new carrier doesn’t cover that area. It wasn’t my first choice but the only thing I had was some satin black bumper paint I used in the areas. I didn’t want to leave it bare metal.

I’m went for a drive afterward (had to give RubySue a bath) and it is CONSIDERABLY quieter in the rear tailgate area. A lot less squeaking and rattling. Overall pretty happy with the product and how it turned out.
