Where are all these D44 with a bad sensor? I’ll take one for the Sahara!!! I’m going to upgrade to D44’s with lockers and happy to not run them through the computer. Take offs are darn hard to find in Canada. I LOVE my 18 JLUS and I plan to keep it forever but all the electronics have me concerned long term. I’ll take the upgrades in design but I’d prefer to keep things like 4wd more “mechanical”.

Great post love the trailer

I have one in the crate. $1800 or best offer. I bought the axles to get the sensor.

Problem is neither of you will be able to cross the border for "personal" purchases ... stupid government regs !!!
You'd have to cross it commercially. Google a list of LTL carriers and they can likely get it done for you. You could also use FedEx or UPS (FedEx is better).
You'll need a customs broker, Canada Customs Invoice (CCI), and possibly a CUSMA (Certificate of Origin) if you use an LTL carrier. I would recommend Buffalo Customs Brokers (BCB). They are pretty reasonable for a one-time entry.
If you use FedEx or UPS they have their own brokerages, FedEx Trade Networks (FTN) and UPS Supply Chain Services (UPS SCS) that will process a one-time entry for you.
If by chance either of you are a commercial driver, you cannot just bring it across as your own goods and expect to pay any duty or tax at the line. It's still considered "personal" and you would be required to self-isolate for 14 days, plus face possible charges for crossing illegally ... again, stupid government regs.

Im close to the boarder and would cross when the COVID restrictions are lifted. God knows when.

Will it work for me? Is it the sensor that actuates the locker, I would have thought it is cheaper to buy an elocker. Man the American prices are So cheap.

I’m looking for a front and would regard the rear d44 “narrow” and elocker but some say a drop in is cheaper. I should post this somewhere else I don’t want to steal you’re thread

The sensor does not lock the locker. It just makes a fancy display show up. A sport and the Sahara does not have the programming or software to read the sensor.

You can not buy the elocker for the JL dana44 axle without buying the whole axle.

This axle will work great for a sport or a Sahara.

I had my rear locker light blinking issue a while back as well. It eventually went away never graduating to the service locker warning, but in the meantime bought the bypass, good to know its a reliable "fix". Did not look forward to the time needing to wait for new rear axle to become available.

How did you remove the rear side windows. can I do this with the freedom top or is it only an option with the top you have?
