That's a modular steel bumper that is winch-compatible and only currently used on special edition JKs, such as the HardRock, 75th Anniversary, and Recon. No way would they make a premium bumper like that the 'base' bumper. That would be like asking for the AEV bumper as the base bumper, lol. Compared to the standard bumpers on the JK, the new JL bumper is leagues ahead.

Steel bumper is in the options list, meaning they're likely replacing "special editions" with optioned add ons instead for now (until JL sales slow down and they begin to roll out some new badass special editions). But yes, the steel bumpers have not been spied "exposed" yet.

Oh, yeah, I don't doubt that they'll have something akin to the current HardRock/Recon bumpers available on the JL, but they won't be the 'base' bumpers as zgn had suggested.

Is this gap in the picture below related to the previous dialogue and the discussions that took place around it?

Not quite sure what you’re getting at there?

BTW, that’s not the diesel, that’s the Hurricance 4cylinder Turbo Petrol engine.

The few differences between Sahara, Rubicon and even sport are those that some of us believe are for export.
