Whoa. Totally forgot the thread. I need to update it.

Been busy, son in the hospital for months, lost my Dad to PTSD… it’s been rough. Still working through that. I need to get back out on and off the road asap. It’ll be a welcome distraction. I’ve been working on a new hobby. What they heck, right?

One tip I’d give is allow enough time to slow down a little and take it easy. Having to keep an ambitious schedule definitely affected our being able to soak up the experience. It hampered my media content I have to work with too. I’ll make something out of it but the next trip will get better. We had fun, but seeing half the places in three weeks would have been better.

Daniel, sorry to hear about your personal setbacks but thanks for updating your travels. Looks like an epic adventure, spent a lot of time in Wyoming, even saw the Steamboat geyser erupt when we were in Yellowstone (it was a very rare occurrence back then). Thanks for all those pics, you're quite the photographer too!

BTW, are you still happy w/ those Mickeys??

Thank you and, yes, the Mickeys are doing great. Not one gripe. About 17k on them now. A smidge louder but quiet still. Even wear. Very very light feathering I can see on the spare with rotations between 5000 to 6000 miles. Probably some lug squirm like an MT.

Hey guys, if you haven’t…go check out Badlands National Park! I’ve got a couple of videos to view to get a feel for the trails.

This is the 2nd Badlands video. I’m a newbie to video so it’s still a bit rough around the edges. The information is solid though.


Also, I plan to head back out there asap and check out something I was just informed I missed. Apparently there’s an off highway vehicle area I drove all around but not past. Baja OHV is about 5-6 miles west of Interior on SD 44. It’s 480 acres of mostly prairie you can drive right across. Make sure it’s dry out I’m told. It sounds like even if it’s a little wet the mud can get nasty out there. Anyone been?

I’ll be hitting the Black Hills to explore again. Anyone have any specific trails you’d recommend that have a scenic reward?

Anyone have a recommendation for a solid built, mild off road capable, hardshell camper trailer? I’d mainly want it for a base camp.

My newest video of a few family friendly and scenic roads/trails we were able to explore last Summer. Basic but hopefully the narration & history given round out the video well. I’m open to suggestions for future videos. Next we’re going to Rushmore, Devils Tower, and then onto Bighorn National Forest.
