I got a response:
“Good morning. Thank you for the pictures. You are our first problem with our new rail covers. We do make them here and I have sent your pictures to the engineer technician. Please be patient this is not an overnight fix. It take 1 to 2 weeks for them to have an answer for me. If you want a refund and choose not to wait. Please let me know and I will have our customer service team send you an RGA. Again sorry for the problem.”
not sure if I’m an isolated incident or if there is a manufacturing defect.. I guess I’ll wait on a response. I am a bit inclined to send them back, I’m also considering a slipstream security enclosure which would render the rails obsolete
