I mentioned this to my dealer almost every time I visited and they couldn't get it to reproduce as a problem so there was nothing they could do to fix a problem that may or may not be a problem.

I ordered the Mopar 68438075AA check valve today, 10/8. Will have it tomorrow. Cost is $4.40.

No, I am not taking my JL in to the service department and sit there... and then having to showcase the drip so it is covered by warranty... AND, it only drips on very hot days and rarely. I'll eat the $4.40, gladly.

Parts guy said they were not aware of a TSB or a cure for the JL's spitting rear windshield washer. He thanked me for the info.

Parts guy told me he checked and Mopar has 2,000 of these check valves at the Boston distribution center.. (I'm in NY) 8-)

I was noticing this the other day. Will wait till I take it in for the first oil change and deal with it then. Better than a trackbar failure!

The morons at FCA thought they could install a liquid exit higher than the source and thought it wouldn't drip without a check valve? Think gravity

Well, check valve, ended up costing me $3.78.

It's installed. Took all of 1.5 minutes to install.

Guess I'm the first here, to install the fix

Prior to install of check valve, the washer nozzle gave me a squirt on the way to the dealership.

DId you order your jeep with Hard Top? I wonder if the dealer swapped Hard Tops from an earlier jeep onto yours as this issue pertains more to the actual HARD TOP than JEEP itself.

You'd assume that all JL's manufactured after 6/27/18 would have the check valve installed at the factory. TSB says the bulletin is for all JL's manufactured before 6/27/18.

After doing the check valve install yesterday, I did not add wiper fluid to the washer reservoir. Early this am, I opened the hood to get to the reservoir and this was hanging out of the air canister opening. He/she was 5-6 foot long. See pic taken after I yanked it out of the canister.

I would have had to go change clothes after finding that, I’ve been in south Texas for about 10 years and finding a snake always gets my attention

I opened the hood and since the snake was mostly black I did not see it. The snake was head first into the air filter canister. I actually noticed the snake was there when I without seeing the snake placed / rested my left hand in the air box area.... I felt it, and jumped back. YES, that got my adrenaline going.

Long story short, I figured it a plain old huge black snake and grabbed him by the tail and started pulling. Could not believe how much length I was pulling out. After about 5' , I was thinking oh shit. When he finally was mostly out, I just dropped him. It was actually, a pretty mellow snake.... mellow in comparison to the foot long+ garter snake I found under the garbage can the other day. That one got really nippy /feisty when I tried to move him/her. 8-)
