OK, so is this only good for tying down stuff or is there another use?
It's just adjustable tie downs rather than static ones. Looks like some accessories are in the works, but the only thing shown so far is the cargo divider.

I want to put a new "word" out there.

"Chjeeped"

It describes the situation where an accessory other vehicle manufacturers would put on their vehicles standard, just to get you to look at them over the competition, FCA considers an accessory because it can, selling Wranglers faster than it can build them.

Usage: My petite wife.

"So you had to buy grab handles to help people like me into the cabin while our lower riding SUV has them standard???"

Me: "Consider yourself Chjeeped. Owners decide if they want this stuff and then choose from 15 different options. Besides there's one on the "A" pillar, that's new for the JL!"

Wife: "What's an "A" pillar?"

I very much regret ordering this feature. Although my jeep will be here in the next couple days, I'm positive this was the reason it wasn't delivered months ago. I could have been enjoying my Jeep for so long now :headbang:

I noticed the JL has a few more fixed tie down points which I find very useful. Not sure I could find a use for the sliding version st this point, at least not enough to pay extra for. Maybe I'm missing something

I just ordered my jeep and this was not being offered at the moment. Apparently it was holding up production so it was removed. Bummer. They also wouldn't allow me to order the side steps. Double bummer. Since this is my first jeep, I'm assuming I can just buy all this stuff after market, correct?

I bought some hooks that go under the screws for the hard top. A cheap alternative.

My Element has these built in which yeah for Jeep to have an add-on for it, doesn't make sense. But hey Jeeps also have carpet in them...... again makes no sense.

I think I am in the same vote. Been waiting since May 3 and I think this was the major holdup. I wish items under $300 could be cancelled at anytime if they are holding up delivery. On a similar note...

I asked my dealer why they couldn't send me order confirmation or track my order online and their response was "we are not Amazon". What a bullshit excuse. This technology is not complicated or hard. And frankly, everyone should be imitating Amazon in some forms. Jeep dealers are dinosaurs. I do love the product though.
