ThisI'd opt for the slightly more expensive NOCO 10 over the 5. It'll handle "trickle" charging, but it'll do a better job charging the battery if its state of charge ever gets low for whatever reason.
In the era of smart chargers, the only real justification for buying a dedicated "trickle" charger as your first/only charger is saving a a little money/space.
Both of my JL Wranglers are a single factory battery, no AGM and both are the ETorque models. The charger isn''t tied to that big battery under the back of the Jeep.@LARSONEM Eric, curious, do you have dual AGM factory batteries in your JL or was yours one that was equipped with only one factory 12V AGM battery...
...or was your JL a dual one from the factory where you bypassed the Aux battery?
Both of my Jeeps still have the OEM batteries in them; whatever they are. I’ve never really looked at them as they have that carpet blanket over them.@LARSONEM
i was under the understanding that all OEM 12 volt batteries were AGM. Have you replaced yours with something else?
AGM then, I only ask because for optimal charging the charger should be compatible with, and set to the AGM setting. Both of my Jeeps still have the OEM batteries in them; whatever they are. I’ve never really looked at them as they have that carpet blanket over them.
There is no switch or settings on the 1.25 amp charger. It’s a pretty basic and automatic unit to useAGM then, I only ask because for optimal charging the charger should be compatible with, and set to the AGM setting.
Now you just have to remember to unhook it if you have to move the Jeep. Thanks all for the suggestions! The Noco5 arrived from @Terrymo yesterday and I got it all setup this morning and ran the cord awkwardly to the garage.

Doesn't look pretty but it'll get the job done for now.

I try to run the cable over my driver side mirror or through the door handle so I remember to disconnect it.Ha well the "good" news on that front is this Jeep ain't goin' nowhere without a new front axle so it shouldn't be an issue. Now you just have to remember to unhook it if you have to move the Jeep.I try to run the cable over my driver side mirror or through the door handle so I remember to disconnect it.
To keep the IBS calibrated, the negative clamp should be on top of the IBS.
Like here on the post? Or is it better to not have it on the battery and all and run it to a ground on the frame somewhere? To keep the IBS calibrated, the negative clamp should be on top of the IBS.
