Transit “Hold”?

My Jeep dealer has the vehicle I want coming his way. He tells me the vehicle is in transit, BUT there is a HOLD

What does that mean? On hold waiting for drivers? On hold waiting for chips, etc.

Any thoughts on this?

Could be waiting to be unloaded at one of the drop spots or could be waiting to be picked up at a drop spot but there is something blocking the shipment.
Could be that something physically happened to the unit or something was discovered that has called a recall before delivery.

I talked to my dealer and these are some of the things he told me.
