Trans Temp

Today, lightly offroading just going real slow over some technical stuff. Trans temp was 235. I stopped until the temp went way back down. I noticed 235 really isn't just more than half way on the meter, in off-road pages. 235 seems nuts, Thoughts?

Interesting, were you in 4hi or 4lo? What size tires are you running? Are you re geared for the tire size? The times ive been off roading I've been in 4lo 90 percent of the time and my Temps have been at a steady 195

4lo. maybe 20degree off horizontal, some boulder action. Tires are just 35, I have the default 410

Weird, have you checked trans fluid? Have you crawled under to see if there is any damage to your transmission? Is there anything blocking your trans cooler?

Yeah I laid under it an yanked on everything, I didn't see any thing out side of normal. I just emailed my dealer to ask if they think I should bring her in.

Yea I would take it in to make sure nothing is faulty.

2019’s run hot. The Jeep will let you know if there is a problem. 235F is not a problem.

Fire will be your first sign of trouble. I had to let mine cool down for a few months.

Ok so after further asking @fca I was told by my dealer that 300f is seen by 2019 transmissions under 4lo operation. We need to keep this thread going.

Anyone else with 235+ trans temp while wheeling?

well it happened to me on my last BISHOP trail...
i was kind freaking out when i seen 235+ on my Trans temp i let it cool down a bid before the drive...
but the weather was hot, AC was on all the time...
from some Mechanic friends and other comments 230 on Jeep is normal..
so that answer make's feel more comfort..

37" tires with stock gearing for now but going to Re-gear soon..

Wtf that's crazy! No transmission should ever gst that high.

See it all the time, hasnt caused a problem. I do plan on having my fluid and filter changed at 20k though.
