Trans America Trail, May ‘18

Love my JL and for some real fun I’m going to do the Trans America Trail this May/June. Has anyone ever done the TAT with a vehicle vice a motorcycle?

Sounds awesome, hope you have a fantastic time.

I’ve certainly read reports of people who have. Here’s one trip made in an XJ, and YouTube has at least one via Land Rover.

This is on my bucket list. Along with contenital divide

I've done it, but in the reverse direction, from the Pacific Ocean in Oregon to Utah. Early in the season bring a chainsaw or have a winch on your Jeep, we had to clear a few tress that had fallen across the trail when we went. Also, some of the bushes are real close together, be prepared for some scratches as you go through some narrow spots. It's a great trip, spend some time on it, it's worth it.
