The JL Trailgater is engineered specifically for the 2018 Jeep JL Wrangler and replaces the whole plastic inside tailgate cover. It utilizes the same proven design used for our JK Trailgater, has a larger table and cutting board and mounts to the JL tailgate using 9 proprietary injection molded blind nuts. The JL Trailgater also keeps available the 3 mounting points in the center of the tailgate.

The Trailgater is designed to be extremely functional, ergonomic and to look fantastic on your JL Wrangler.

Stop preparing your food in the dirt.
When out on the trail, most of us Jeepers end up serving snacks and meals from the top of a cooler. Quite often, part of the meal ends up in the dirt. The Trailgater is designed to get both you and your food out of the dirt.

Whether serving trail snacks or preparing a full meal, the fold down Trailgater utility table can handle your needs. Its large working surface provides ample room for a camp stove and still have room to place cooking utensils, mixing bowls, plates, cups, containers and such.

The slide out cutting board enlarges the working surface when needed for cooking, chopping, mixing and preparing food.

Loved mine on the jku. Picking one up for the JL. Such a solid product!

Love the table! Are there plans to offer a black version?

where do you channel the wiring for the brake light, etc? I kept it in the original channel/zip tie but noticed there's a notch below the bamboo on the lower left hand side of the backing. I'm worried I might have mashed my CB coax, thereby shorting the connection. If anyone can post pics of their mounted with the wiring that would be really appreciated.

I should add that i looked at the video online. i forgot to cut out the notch in the rubber sealing for the wiring harness, but i have the wires channeled exactly like the video. could this little piece of sealing compress the wires enough to short it?

I worry about rattling/noises that could come off of this.

You all have any problem with this?

Would like to see pictures of it closed. What would you use the center mounts for that would still allow you to close it?

I like the product, but I am concerned about covering up the tailgate vents. Using double stick tape to help secure it seems like the vents are not just going to be blocked, but sealed. Does this cause a problem with closing the doors on the hardtops?

Haven’t experienced any issues with the vents. It isn’t completely sealed. Only problem I have is that I put the clips in the wrong holes during installation and they are responding to my emails when I’ve asked for more clips. I’ve offered to buy them and everything. They responded to the first email, but nothing since. Not too excited about the service from Outback Adventures.

I do have a rattle from it, but it may be because I don’t have all the clips/screws in.

Not a very engaged company from the lack of any responses here...

I am shopping to add a table to my JL and, like others I am sure, one large aspect of the aftermarket consideration is how good the customer service of the vendor is...

Looks like a good product. But rattles, venting and such are concerns.

This table never rattled on my jku for 3 years. I wouldn’t waste any time looking at others! It’s built well and stays in place. Also, have you called the company? They have always been responsive when I had questions

We don't manufacturer the table so I don't have the information on that. I have seen customers have there's powder coated before to that is an option.
