Does the rubicon come with a trailer hitch or do you have to get the package?

Or go aftermarket for $150. Ish.

But you get the better electrical system, 4 & 7 pin plugs, and the aux power panel with the tow group.

Do you guys think I’ll have any issues with this on my Rubi?

Personally, I doubt it! Max your putting on there is couple hundred pounds, but I'm also no mechanic so I would ask someone more knowledgable.

A class 2 hitch can have a max tongue weight up to 525lbs - typically the best way to stay safe is at 10% of max tow which would be 200lbs on a 2 door and 350lbs on a 4 door.

Biggest issue you’ll have is clearing the spare. The further back you have to cantilever that weight the more stress you’re putting on everything.

Johnnyjeep,

Let me know I want to put my Dual Sport (about 280lbs) on a ramp like that. Don't have ramp because I normally tow it on a small trailer but really want to drop it on the hitch but concerned about clearing the spare.

I'll be staying tuned!

I'll give it a go. After a bit of research, the towing package comes with a class II hitch. Apparently, Class II hitches have a max tongue weight of 300. My carrier weighs 69 lbs and bike 233. I guess I am completely out of luck on my second bike... I'll keep you updates, but I bet your dualsport will be too heavy unless your hitch is significantly lighter than mine. Course they might be under-estimating the capability.

Per the owners manual the max tongue weight is 200lbs for a 2dr and 350lbs for a 4dr. Page 352
