Trading in my '18 JLUR for a 392 Xtreme Recon

Starting my journey to a 392 today. I got it for sticker with no delivery fee so I don't feel too bad with all things considered. This thing is expensive but the smiles per gallon will be worth it to me. I will update here as things move along.

Oct 5th Build Sheet Updated & I am now pending installation of additional equipment
Oct 11th Released from Factory and in shipping status (KCS)
Oct 12th Window Sticker
Oct 16th Left Toledo on a train
Oct 20th Arrived At Final Rail Destination. Waiting on a Truck to take it to the dealer.
Oct 27th Delivered to dealer (~16 Weeks to delivery)

Adding my TODO List. I have a load of work to knock out on my JLUR before I trade it on. The g/f vandalized my dry erase board when I wasn't looking

What gear ratio did you pick? Or are you limited to what the 392 comes with?

I was contemplating on adding the GG but haven't asked the dealer to add it. Definitely added the recon package. How long after VON did u get VIN?

I have not gotten a VIN yet I just did this today. But my last jeep was a custom order as well and it took about a week to get a VIN. I'm not sure if this will take any longer or not. I do not think they start production on these until August.

Any reason why you skipped it? Even if you're trying to keep cost down, it's only $95. And from what I've read, the GG related delays will likely soon be behind us.

It's a cheap thing to do aftermarket compared to paying the mopar price for it. I've seen it in action and it could have its usages.

One of the reservations that I had a snagged from my buddy was an order from November 2020. It sat in D status for almost 3 months. I’m curious, with the new orders, how long your D status will be and to see if they have made improvements in timing.

I hope you get it as fast as possible! Cheers on the order mate.

Same, my understanding is that they will start building these xtremes in August sometime. Given that its technically a 2021 model if they wait too long 2022 will be on us so perhaps they will try to get them out 'soon'.

I'm hoping to have it by November but I wont be crushed if it takes longer.

I ordered mine last week and i'm told I have a firm build date 8/16 and a ship date of 8/31. Stingray 392 with XR, no gorilla glass (forgot to order and now its too late to add). my ship date appears very optimistic.
