Track bar sheared off at the weld. I feel like I’m cursed with my new JL

So I don't want to fan the fire, but I also don't want to put my family in something unsafe. I have an early build Rubicon (Jan I believe) and based on what I have read, I think maybe there should be cause for concern. Lots of pores in my welds. I am not an expert, what should I do, contact dealer and/or FCA customer care or am I being overly paranoid

So they actually submitted my new Jeep order today! 8 week wait here I come! :) but very happy with the outcome that Chrysler came through and did the right thing.

Are you still on the hook for the increased delivery charge?

After everything you've been through they would have some nerve asking for anything in my opinion. This was posted in the Sting Gray thread and if you feel you're getting any type of run around you can email this list of executives. Worked for this guy!

Go down the list and look for quality control ; maybe that has something to do with robot welds .

@rboss so what did you have to do to get movement. I took mine to the 1st dealership, and they pretty much turned me away so they dont take liability for the welds. Told me to go back to origional dealership or call district manager.
Went to 2nd dealership and they wont do anything unless a service manager or higher approves it. They want me to leave it tomorrow so they can have a manager look at it.
Sounds like a run around, especially when I show them the welds, and they acknowledge they are poor welds.
So is Jeep going to take care of me, and honor thier warranty ? @JeepCares
Or do I need to push the legal route ?

He will be on the hook for his own mechanic's pre-delivery inspection of the replacement , which will be money well spent .

I'm sorry to hear about your situation but I had to laugh at the response they've given you. It's almost like they feel YOU owe them something for the inconvenience and hassles you put them through.
If they're anything like GM, they consider wanting an actual functional vehicle and not just living with whatever goes wrong "buyer remorse."

I wish I were kidding.

I can 100% second that as someone who went all the way through arbitration with GM, and "won" only to find out even when you win, you still lose. (while the law states that a vehicle may have to be bought back, it is not as clear on the amount they have to buy it back for)
