Just adding another data point...build date and time for my Rubicon is 070515. Weld doesn't look as pretty, or as ugly, as others...but it's there

Update Oct. 5, 2018 5:52 p.m. ET: FCA says the recall population includes approximately 18,000 vehicles, which will all be inspected. Of those, the company estimates that 4 percent (roughly 720 vehicles) “may have the issue.”

Just contacted my local dealership and they said if my VIN isn't on the affected list, there's nothing to do...

not sure how that makes me feel since some of you guys are on the list and have the weld present...

My is a 7/03/18 Build and my Welds at the Tracbar look like this. What do you all Think. I'm on the Recall list too but wonder if I should panic or not. To me the welds look ok but what do I know.

I'll have to get a better, close up photo, but this is ours:

I don't know anything but that looks horrible, yet looks like it was marked as inspected-the entire right side of the weld is not complete. I wouldn't drive this car if my life depended on it. Oh wait, it does!

I don't think I've seen photos of anybody that has the sides there welded. Maybe they will add them as part of the recall. When I checked for the recall online, it said parts are not yet available. Unless they are adding a bolt on brace, not sure what parts they need.

Right. I’ve never seen the weld wrap over the side either. Interesting enough, a 2018 JK I looked at on the lot had a weld around the entire circumference of the mount. Appeared stronger visually than the JL.

So in seeing the weld issue on the forum we went out to look at my JL, and it doesn’t look good for us... We ordered 2/19 and picked up 5/1 and the driver side is pretty bad!! So disheartening!! The amt of money we paid for our Jeep only to see the bad welds... we just got back from driving the Jeep to Pa.. so glad nothing happened during the trip... I have attached some photos of the welds... so scary.. in 1 photo you can even see the weld wire... all I know is Jeep needs to fix it!! I would prefer a new one considering they are not going to be able to see every spot that needs fixing.. how did this even happen.? Where is the quality control? Where is the concern for our safety?? Crushed right now!!

These are my welds inspected it this morning. Not on the recall list fingers crossed. Mine was built July 16, 2018 at 6am. No QA marks on mine other than an green mark mid section of the track bar.
