I remember seeing that as an issue found with GM vs Toyota back with their joint venture Nummi plant. Toyota manufacturing would stop the line and fix it right there if something was wrong. GM would send the cars all the way through and then try to fix them after the fact. Stopping the line was not allowed. So, they'd end up with a ton of cars that were built like crap that had to be fixed after the fact rather than fixing the bad processes in the beginning. Maybe FCA needs to learn this lesson.Their production philosophy is backwards. The production line should be able to identify this easily and stop the production line and make the necessary adjustments at that time. I am sure anyone waiting for one would appreciate this behavior over the we will let it go now and maybe it wont get caught philosophy.
