I wish they’d focus more on building Jeeps that are consistently mechanically sound, not full of defects, and fulfilling the orders of paying customers rather than playing on the rocks.

Setting aside how tired this type of complaint is, helping employees to appreciate the vehicle is one way of encouraging them to do a better job making it.

I disagree, because it doesn’t seem to be working does it? I can’t see any way whatsoever that something like this would cause an hourly assembly line employee to take one more iota of pride in their workmanship or “do a better job”.

I really want to give FCA my $55K for a new JLUR. I know that a forum like this will tend to have a much higher percentage of owners with problems and complaints than average, that’s partially what it’s for - problems and issues are what draw some people to a forum to find solutions. But I’m seeing way too many quality control problems and general incompetence than I’m comfortable with. Defect after defect. Delay after delay. Jeep has had 10 years o to develop this platform and yet they’re still clearly not ready to do their jobs correctly.

I really hope that it’ll be worked out very soon. At least before the 2019 models start rolling down the line. That’s probably as long as I’m willing to wait before losing faith that they can deliver the quality of product that I expect. Others may be much more forgiving and willing to overlook major issues because they really want a new Jeep Wrangler.
