Is anyone towing in the mountains at or near max towing capacity with their 2.0L? I have seen other threads on this but seems like only 3.6L answers.

Did my first tow today. See my garage for what I have so far. I think I towed around max load today and going 55 to 75mph, felt good no wheel issues to report. I had a couple of passengers with me on the way to the dump, they all reported the drive was smooth from their perception.

Oh, and I live in the mountains.

I'll be towing a pop-up camper (~1500 lbs) next week to Jeep Jamboree Palo Duro with my 2-door (2k limit).
I'll post my impressions...

Thanks for the replies. I was wondering how the the power was and if the transmission shifted a lot.. I tow a 17,000 pound 5th wheel trailer with a diesel, dodge dually. I don’t expect tow performance to be at that level, but don’t want to pull small hills at 35MPH with 2000 pounds either. I sure towing with the Rubicon will be easer due to 4:10 gearing.
