Anyone doing towing find a good set of tow mirrors? After pulling our camper the other day, realized that I need to figure something out......lots of different options, but wanted to check with the Jeep Experts first...show me what you use...

What are you towing with a JL that needs mirrors?

Kewl setup. Really like the "Vintage" look. I will take delivery of my 2019 Jayco Hummingbird 16MRB on 4/19. It is only 6' wide and I am wondering if I need tow mirrors. How does the JL handle the trailer?

How sure are you that it's only 6 ft wide? I just looked online and it shows 8'. I just picked up my Jayco Flight 174BH on Saturday which is 8' and it definitely needs mirrors. But in other news, the JL towed it like a champ.

Wasn't sure at all...just knew that the trailer body was inside the tires and fenders, I just guesstimated. Just measured the actual body; it is 6'-5-1/8" outside to outside. This does not include awning, grab bar and other things mounted on the side. I brought it home this past Friday with my 3500 Silverado and could see around it great without extending my mirrors. I have backed the JL up to the Hummingbird and since the JL is narrower than the Silverado, it is not bad to see around but I will be getting some type of mirror extensions. I am as yet unable to tow with the JL, awaiting delivery of receiver hitch and towing wiring harness. Looks daunting, but I think I can handle it. (Still can't find the Mopar harness that goes from the tow harness to the trailer brake controller. Towing harness has the blue trailer brake wire but not controller harness...still looking.)
My original plan was to tow the Jeep behind a Motorhome (wouldn't need a towing package for the Jeep). So I purchased the Jeep and began looking for a motorhome only to find that they make a trailer light enough for the Jeep to tow. Plans change.
"...JL towed it like a champ" is good to know. Looked up your dry specs of your 174BH (I really like that floorplan), and you're at 2935# and my Hummingbird is at 2780#, so I feel a little better now. Thanks for the info.
P.S. Fishing the ditch in Lake St. Clair is one of my favorite things in the world...just don't get up there often enough.

I did some research and this is the trailer brake system we got and the harness we ordered from amazon. They just haven’t labeled it for the JL yet. It works great and super easy to install.

Still searching for trailer towing mirrors. Thinking about rear view camera mounted on trailer.

Maybe with the Gladiators release, we will see something hit the aftermarket. I'm surprised Jeep but those small things on a vehicle that has a tow rating up to 8,000 lbs

The Milenco aero towing mirrors are the best I’ve found. They are pricey but very worth it.

Don’t use the ones with the suction cups, they will fall off while you’re driving.

That Tekonsha is a great little unit, I’ve been using one for about 3 years.

Likewise on mirrors. When I had a JKUR I had the Rampage set which worked great. Hoping someone does a similar set for JLs.

One thing I did last trip out was took my old GoPro that hasn’t been used in forever, plugged it into a USB in my trailer for constant power, used the suction cup to mount it to the rear window of the trailer looking back and voila, instant bluetooth rear view when towing.
