Problem(s):
Constant reoccurring rear axle failure.
Steering wandering or swerving.
Electrical Issues
Transmission clanking
FCA fails to recognize the problems and tries to sway from being responsible.
I'm a Jeep owner for many years and would hate to not drive a Jeep.
My options that I'm considering:
Trade my lemon Jeep Sport for a Rubicon JL 2DR.
-or-
Replace front and rear axle with Rubi axles
Rebuild my front end from aftermarket options.
I originally purchased my Sport JL with as minimum extras as possible.
My idea was to keep it simple and light.
I'm not a fan of all the leather and Rubicon gadgets. You can keep the big screens, actually want to eliminate mine in my Sport. My Apple iPhone does all the same and more compact.
I originally thought that with the savings of buying a JL Sport versus a capable Rubicon that I could install better axles, tires, lift, etc. and have a far more capable vehicle than a Rubicon off the showroom floor.
Any other options or considerations that might work is appreciated. I welcome your experience and recommendations.
