I'm in the plastics industry, and I believe they did paint over chrome. Which is what gives it that anodized aluminum look. It would be quite difficult to match that. I would order a new dash if it were mine

That's actually what I'm leaning towards. $135...not TOO bad. LOL

And has anyone figured out reliably who gets the Red one and who gets the Gray?? I have a yellow rubicon coming with black interior - no clue as to which dash panel I'm gonna get.

LOL...it won't. It was just a careless mistake. Lesson learned.

We've ALL been there! ALL!!

My worst mistake (I think) was that I dropped an $800 Intel processor on the floor while I was going to install it onto a motherboard -- broke off a bunch of pins on the bottom.

The store was nice to me, sold me a replacement at their cost.

Fortunately I'm a big boy. I was more bummed when I backed my motorhome into a post and cracked the rear-end fiberglass.

My best friend had a great comment for me that really helped. He said, "hey, if you never take your toys out of the toy box they won't get hurt..."

I believe the interior photos in the online build tool at Jeep.com will show the correct dash color, at least they did for the 2018 model year.

It's going to be red and when you roll naked it's going to look like you're sponsored by McDonald's. Lolol jk

There are plenty of people doing paint mods, should be easy to make it whatever color you want.
