I worked at a car wash in high school. The detergents they use are pretty strong. But it is quite a stretch to call that stuff it sprays on "wax." It is really just a different color foam. I doubt that stuff would hurt the soft top at all.
I run my soft top through the touchless with no extras...just the basic wash. I put my own RainX on in the garage at home. Also, auto part stores have tons of easy "spray-on, wipe-off" products that are pretty easy. If the weather is an issue, you could use a real detailer who would apply real wax. It is more expensive, I know. But real wax lasts a long time. You probably only have to do it once or twice a winter. Might be worth it?
